At Therapy Ranch, we are committed to aiding individuals struggling with various challenges—be it survivors of human trafficking, youths combating anxiety and depression, or those grappling with unresolved trauma. As a 501(c)3 organization, we actively engage donors and funding bodies to bolster the practice of Equine-assisted psychotherapy. Studies have confirmed that animal-assisted interventions effectively reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression as well as facilitate grief processing.
As a Troy Kiwanis Corporate Member, their mission to help children in the mental health space aligns with our club mission of providing mental health support for local youth. 1 in 5 Americans struggle with mental health. Despite this, awareness and access to treatment are often overlooked and under-prioritized.
Since 2019, Therapy Ranch has provided experiential mental health interventions and learning experiences to youth and adults in Metro Detroit and surrounding communities.
Our clients discover innovative solutions that drastically improve their health and well-being through Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL).

Excited to announce that we are a finalist in the Kiwanis International 2026 Signature Project Contest for our annual Harvesting Hope: Healing Begins With US Youth Mental Health project that supports Troy Kiwanis Foundation KIT (Kiwanis Inspired Teens) Fund. Over 590 clubs submitted entries internationally and we are the sole Michigan club representing both levels of clubs. We are a finalist in Group 1, which consists of clubs with less than 27 members.
Results from the KIT program include increased attendance, academic progress, healthy peer choices, and constructive post-secondary engagement.
Troy School District works with Autana Family Therapy Center to provide services to students through the KIT Program which streamlines access to mental health care. The KIT Program is exclusively focused on adolescents and treats adolescents for trauma, depression, anxiety, and behavioral challenges. We are able to do this due to our community support. Thank YOU!
